If you are interesting in running multiple Operating System within your current Operating System at a same time, then these software would be of great help to you. The software through which we can accomplish such tasks are known as Virtual Machine. A Virtual Machine is a software implementation of a computer that performs like a physical machine. System machine and Process machine are it`s two types where first one is used to provide a complete system platform on which we can run different Operating System and the latter one can be used to run a single program.
Now there are lots of such software`s out there on the web. So here I`ve chosen some of the popular one`s(System Machine).- Virtual Box
Owned by Oracle, but freely available as Open Source Software, is a powerful x86 and AMD64/Intel64 virtualization tool, wholly compatible with Windows, Linux, Macintosh, and Solaris hosts and supports a large number of guest operating system.

VMware Player is also one the powerful virtualization tool. VMware Player supports Windows, Linux which lets you run multiple guest operating systems simultaneously in separate windows. But you need to register here in order to download and use this tool.

I`m using Virtual Box to run Ubuntu 10.10 Desktop Edition(guest operating system) on Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit(host operating system) and it works really smooth as it all depends upon your system configuration. Which one are you using? Do share your experience with us.
So, which one is the best???
ReplyDeleteI would suggest you to use Virtual Box.. :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of it but based on that review, I would probably suggest Virtual box as well. I find it better than any other virtualization software.
