After spending a day with Samsung I9000 Galaxy S is like having a perfect companion for the day. Yeah, take it in the geeky way. With a majestic Super AMOLED 4 inch display, this device has some repute in the market. Not only that, other features are also worth appreciating. The device measures 122.4 x 64.2 x 9.9 mm and weighs 118g. Perfect design providing perfect handling is sometimes hard to incorporate in the Smartphone having such a large(4 inch) display and that too along with all that plastic body, but Samsung has well-managed to pass this test. Yeah, the 4 inch Gorilla Glass display having 16M colors Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen of WVGA (480 x 800 pixel) resolution is one of the biggest attraction of this device and is what making the sale insights all time high. Super AMOLED technique lets you enjoy the perfect black yet saving battery life to some extent, add some charming effect to the screen. Well, the front is mostly covered with the display along with three buttons at the bottom in which two are touch sensitive and one the which is in the center is not. Earpiece along with sensors and secondary camera to enjoy video calling are well placed at the top front of the display. Right side houses the power/lock key where volume control keys are located to the left. Covered micro USB slot and uncovered 3.5 mm standard audio jack is placed at the top where one can only see the mouthpiece at the bottom. The back houses the loudspeaker(grilled) along with the 5 MP shooter with the absence of LED flash support. Dedicated camera key is missing where the rest is well placed. The dotted blue design at the back allows easy handling.
CAMERA
The 5MP shooter at the back has some amazing settings and specs having ability to capture finest details but still it is not the best camera in the market. The camera can capture in 2592 x 1944 pixels resolution. I think Samsung has highly ignored the camera of this device. Despite of having 5 MP snapper, the device has no shutter key and a flash to support the camera in low light surroundings. But the camera offers the wide range of functionalities - blink detection, image stabilization, geo-tagging, smile detection, face detection and auto contrast. Front facing secondary VGA camera lets you enjoy video calling. Now coming to the video capturing/recording, this device has enough muscle to capture videos in 720p @fps along with a fine details. This is where the camera scores over the others.
PROCESSOR
1 GHz processor takes a toll on every application, a user is running. Applications runs without any hiccups. 1 GHz processor is more than enough to support all the functionalities and applications.
